Conwy’s brand new music festival has arrived!

Winter Sounds will be filling venues across the county, shining a light on musical talent from Wales and beyond.

The events will be free and reduced cost with the chance to donate / pay as you feel.

Multi-instrumentalist Hazel Mary performs in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary’s Church, illuminated by candlelight.

A Londoner by birth, Hazel Mary has very much made Conwy her home - a familiar face, whether as a barmaid in the local pub for 7 years or playing in local venues.  Classically trained in cello and piano, and now studying music at Bangor University, she delighted this year’s Conwy Classical Music Festival audience with a cello recital, incorporating her own composition.  But she equally spans the musical genres, having been a singer songwriter with guitar in her 20s, even incorporating the dulcimer.  So, Conwy’s inaugural ‘Winter Sounds’ Festival kicks off with one of its adopted own, allowing us to hear her extraordinary vocals, which like her main influence – Joni Mitchell – have the ability to touch the heart.
