Jan Gardner was born and brought up in North Wales and her commitment to her practice has sustained her career all her life. Jan studied at Winchester School of Art and has worked at Arts in health venues, colleges and held residencies in schools and galleries.

In this workshop we will explore the inspirational word and emotion ‘love’ whether it be a personal love of flowers, animals, hearts and symbols or a poem / love letter which can be starting points for inspiration.

Please bring anything you would like to use for your own starting points. The essence of the way Jan works is to enable you to identify and celebrate your own unique voice interpreting colour with the use of a variety of tools and media. Using pen and ink, watercolour and collage techniques. The exploration of media, mark-making and individual ideas will be encouraged. We will work on watercolour paper and Jan will bring a range of items for reference too!
