Artist Mary Thomas whose work is currently showing at the Conwy Culture Centre creates striking images using two Victorian photo processes dating from 1842 which do not involve a camera. She uses a Cyanotype solution and dark room photo paper to create images using the power of the sun to develop or a UV lamp on really cloudy days.
This workshop will provide a brief introduction to the process before allowing participants to have a go themselves! Everyone will leave with at least 3 finished pieces of work. Participants are welcome to bring their own leaves, flowers and anything fairly flat which will create an image. Each image created is unique which makes it such an exciting process.
